INSIGHTS REPORT | SEPTEMBER 2026
UK Gilts Data Latency Analysis
How quick is quick enough?
The EU's revised bond transparency regime took effect on 2 March 2026, following comparable UK changes the previous December. Both arrived to a degree of relief, and both, like TRACE before them, produced an immediate and visible result.
Using live CTP records across the tape’s first two months, we tracked execution-to-publication lag for electronically executed and voice, gilt transactions. We then took a single volatile trading day, 20 July 2026, and reconstructed it print by print to show what real-time gilt price discovery now looks like.
